Workshop ‘Digitality: the maker of (new?) political orders’

22nd- 23rd July – University of Bayreuth

Which are the profound implications of digitality on how and what we understand as the political sphere?

The workshop explores the new fashionings of the political produced by digitalisation, as they emerge from new modes of living and interacting. It discusses the reframing of the political due to AI advancements and the technocentric reality induced by the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The workshop discusses how these phenomena are creating political ontologies, exploitive economical models, engagements with the environment, along with unprecedented power balances and contestation.
